Nizamabad parliament member Madhu Yaski Goud sought to blame the CPM for the delay in carving out a separate Telangana state.
The separate state sentiment is much stronger now than what it was during the byelection to the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency, he said.
At a media conference here on Sunday, Madhu Yaski said if any party felt that the sentiment was on the wane, then it would be committing the biggest mistake.
"People of this region are keen for a separate state," he said.
Replying to a question on the state government’s proposal to set up statutory bodies for development of backward areas, he said such ideas would serve no purpose.
Turning down the argument that carving out a separate state in Andhra Pradesh would trigger similar demands all over the country, he said there was nothing wrong if bigger states were divided, and added that he would extend his full support to the demand of separate Vidarbha.

This affair surely got out of hand. Deejiganda Papanna, a rowdy-sheeter, was shot on Sunday by his son Milan and neighbour Kashi. The incident took place in Garvale, Somwarpet taluk. While Kashi shot Papanna after the latter accused him of having an affair with his wife, Milan shot Papanna for assaulting his mother earlier.
Papanna, who allegedly stayed with his mistress until recently in Bangalore, was nabbed on charges of smuggling. On being released from prison last week, Papanna went to Garvale to live with his wife and children. However, Papanna and his wife quarrelled frequently, and on Sunday night, he accused his wife of having an affair with Kashi. He assaulted her and then went to Kashi’s house with a billhook.
Kashi confronted Papanna with a double-barrel gun and shot him. Milan, who was enraged after Papanna hit his mother, arrived at the spot and shot his father in the chest with another gun. Later, they surrendered. They have been remanded to judicial custody.

mahonbabu and rajinikanth no more friends
it is a know fact that Rajnikanth and Mohan Babu are good friends for over a period. The friendship is not that fruitful in the recent past, is what gossip makers kept guessing. Now with Rajni's comments directed at Mohanbabu one can come to a conclusion that they are no longer “close” friends.
Rajnikanth's speech at Kuselan launch on March 15 really made heads turn. Rajni said “Once upon a time I was in a dilemma whether to settle in Tollywood or Kollywood. Then my good friend from Telugu film industry (Mohanbabu) told me to choose Kollywood. He also said that Tollywood is always surrounded by personal politics, and he was not able to stay calm here. However, later I came to know that he told all this false information to avoid competition from me”.
Rajni also pointed his finger at his best friend by saying “He was the one who misguided me once when I was supposed to get 1.5 acres land in Jubilee Hills as remuneration. He said that the land will be useless, and I took his advice and settled for money. Nevertheless, you know what the cost of 1.5 acres land in Jubilee Hills now. I never go to that place as my heart cries in grief”.
Chiranjeevi and Chandrababu attended the launch of Kuselan Telugu version and started the film on their hands. Venkatesh, Rajasekhar, Jagapathi Babu, Ram Charan, Dasari, Aswini Dutt are the other Tollywood celebrities that were present at the launch.

Just hours after the Chennai based US Consulate announced busting a visa racket involving film personalities, the Andhra Pradesh Police said that they were awaiting a communication from their counterparts in Tamil Nadu about the possible involvement of cine actors in the State.
In a statement, the US Consulate said that its Fraud Prevention Unit had unearthed the scam in which several film actors and directors used their positions to lend credibility to several unqualified applicants. According to AP police, nearly 200 such persons from the State of Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu applied for visas but only half of them were issued visas.
The Royypettah police have registered cases against two film actors viz., Flora Shiny who acted in a few Tamil and Telugu films and Srilatha. Both were arrested two days ago according to police sources. The prestigious Rajiv Gandhi International Airport built at Shamshabad will be commissioned by the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at 4.30pm tomorrow.
Ms. Sonia will arrive at Rajahmundry by a special flight would switch on the motors of Thota Venkatachalam Pushkar Lift Irrigation scheme in Purshottapatnam at 11.15 am and later adderess a Kisan rally at Jaggampet at 11.55am. She will leave at 12.55 for Warangal where should would inaugurate the phase I of Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme by unveiling a pylon. She would also go around a photo exhibition being organized there on the occasion. She will leave Warangal at 3.30pm and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 4.30 pm for inauguration of the airport.
Later, she will leave for Begampet airport at 5.30 and on arrival would leave for Delhi by a special flight immediately. All along her tour of the State, she would be accompanied by the Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy
